The great Roman Bath

Our next stop was the  ancient Roman city of Bath. This was interesting and kinda yucky at the same time.   Thinking of all those people bathing in the same water and using olive oil as soap.... yick! But there were many interesting displays there, and also an audio tour.

Zack especially enjoyed the kid's audio tour. He wanted to stop at every sign and listen to the recording on his special receiver.   Unfortunately when you are on a tour you can't always stay everywhere you want as long as you want.

The display i found most interesting was the one about the coins they found as they were excavating the ruin.  They also have a large wishing well at the end for people to throw coins in, which are in turn used to maintain the baths.

Of all the things we did today, Josh seemed to enjoy this one most. He took lots of pictures  and bought a souvenir.  It may be because he is taking Latin in high school and they talk a lot about ancient Rome there.

Soon we were back on the bus and headed to the mystical place called Stonehenge.
