Fish and chips tonight.

After everyone had a good nap, we inquired about where would be a close by place to eat dinner.  We were told about Shepherd's Market, which is just a short walk from the back of our hotel.  It is a quaint little neighborhood that is reminiscent of Fanuell Hall in Boston.  There are numerous little shops and restaurants.  We stumbled upon The Old Express. It had a sign out front that claimed they had the best burgers in town.  We were quickly seated at one of the 5 tables in the place. (I did mean it when I said small.)  Our orders were taken promptly by a very nice young woman.  The boys both ordered cheeseburgers and fries and Doug and I both ordered the Fish N Chips.  All the food was very yummy. Zack said it was the best meal he had ever eaten.   The fish was served with "mushy peas". I had never heard of such a thing. Well, let me tell you, I LOVE mushy peas! They are slightly undercooked peas that are mashed and salted. There are still chunks of peas in them. Think of cream style corn. So yummy!  The fish n chips were good. A little greasy, but most deep fried food is. But the fish itself was very good and the chips were great. Josh thought his burger was ok, and liked the fries. And I already told you what Zack thought of his. Zack has also discovered a new favorite beverage - lemonade. This is not regular lemonade. It is more like sprite, but more lemony. It is actually made by Coca Cola, so I am hoping we can find it back home.
On the walk back to the hotel we discovered a little bodega. We stopped in and bought a few snacks for the room and to take with us on our excursions.
