We walked over to shepherd's market to see what other restaurant looked promising. We wanted Italian. We found a cute little place across the street from the one we ate at the other night. We walked up to the door and asked for a menu. It looked good, and the place smelled good, so we decided to stay.
After we sat down, I decided to count the seats in the restaurant. 14! There were only 14 seats. How do these restaurants stay open with only 14 seats? Doug made comment he meant as a joke, but it might be true. Both restaurants we ate in had stairs going down to a basement. He joked that under the whole neighborhood was one huge kitchen where all the food is cooked. Then it was picked up by the various servers and brought upstairs at the correct place. That almost sounds like it could work. Maybe all the restaurants are owned/run by the same company and this is how they make money. Open a bunch of cute little places, but have all the food and food prep expense in one place.
We ordered and waited. Doug ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, Josh plain penne with butter, and Zack and I shared a margharita pizza and garlic bread. I was very happy to see a cooler under the counter with Coke in glass bottles. I love Coke in glass bottles, so I ordered that, Zack his lemonade, and Doug and Josh water.
Our food came and was sooooo good. The Bolognese looked just like the sauce I make. Josh said the penne was mui bueno. And our pizza was great as well.
Another great dinner at a cute little place.
