Dinner, then bed

After the tour, they dropped us off at Victoria Train and Underground station. This is not the same as Victoria Coach station. I am not sure why they do this. As it was already 8:30pm, we decided to eat at the station and then head back to our hotel. We found a place simply called "Bar and Grill". It was upstairs in the train station. We were concerned it would be smoky, but it was not.  The menu looked promising, except they only had sandwiches for lunch, and Doug and I had really wanted a sandwich.  The boys both had burgers, I had the fish fingers with Heinz beans, chips, and mushy peas. Doug had the "Chicken Burger with cheese and bacon". (That would be a chicken breast sandwich in the States)  The burgers were ok, except for the fact that the waitress forgot to order them with cheese,  and to fix this she brought them a bowl of shredded mozzarella cheese.  Doug's chicken sandwich was good. My fish fingers were actually fish sticks and my chips were fries.  It looked like a kids meal.  And I continue to be surprised that even if a food is the same name brand as we have at home,  it tastes very different here.  The Heinz beans tasted nothing like the canned beans from home.

After dinner we took a taxi back to the hotel and went to bed. Tomorrow morning we were heading back to Victoria Coach Station and another Evan Evans tour.
